Designed by Jun Imai - The new Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno Kaido Street V2 #KHMG218 is another highly anticipated release for 2025, paying tribute to one of the most legendary cars in automotive and pop culture history. This diecast model features the iconic white and black livery, complete with "藤原とうふ店" (Fujiwara Tofu Shop) Japanese characters, a nod to the beloved Initial D series.

The Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno became a global sensation as the hero car of Initial D, the legendary street racing manga and anime created by Shuichi Shigeno. Serialized from 1995 to 2013, Initial D tells the story of Takumi Fujiwara, a high school student who works as a delivery boy for his father's Tofu Shop. Unbeknownst to him, years of early-morning tofu deliveries through the treacherous Mount Akina passes have made him a naturally gifted driver. As he gets drawn into the underground world of Japanese street racing, his seemingly humble AE86 proves to be a formidable rival, taking on high-powered sports cars with unparalleled precision and drifting skill.

This Kaido Street V2 edition captures the essence of the AE86’s legendary status, blending Kaido House-inspired styling with JDM street racing culture. It features an aggressive wide-body kit sitting on chrome lip / gold deep-dished wheels, together with working pop-up headlights, and a carbon fibre opening bonnet revealing a highly detailed engine bay, making it one of the most meticulously crafted AE86 models to date.

Whether you’re a diecast enthusiast, an Initial D fan, or a devoted admirer of Japanese car culture, this model is a must-have. A tribute to drifting history and  collectible built for the true JDM enthusiasts.
